Competitors must be at least 50 years of age as of June 30 of the year prior to the National Championship.
Explanation for Championship Round WA/WB and MA/MB:
One team wins all three qualifiers: Championship Round is not required.
One team wins two qualifiers. They play in both WA and WB or MA and MB (and win the event if they win either game). The other section winner plays in WA or MA and has to win to advance to WB or MB.
Three separate winners: the team that played in the most qualifying games advances to WB or MB, and the other winners play off in WA or MA. If there is a tie in the number of qualifying games played, then the team that qualified earliest goes to WB or MB and the other two teams play off in WA or WB.
